Welcome to Vuggestueliv.

My name is Lotte Marx Lorenzen. I graduated from the social pedagogical seminary in Sydhavn in 2015 and have since built up solid experience working with children aged 0-6, both in residential and day care facilities. I have continuously upgraded my skills and therefore also have training in child counselling and family therapy. On a daily basis, I work as a department head in a nursery on Frederiksberg, where I combine my professional knowledge with practical experience to create safe and developmental environments for a lot of lovely children. With this website, I share my thoughts, experiences, advice and practical information on everything from choosing an institution to the transition to kindergarten. I hope that my website can inspire and help others who work with children or who are in the midst of parenthood.

Why Vuggestueliv?

Being parents today is a complex and challenging task. Many parents struggle to find a balance between work life and family life. There has been a cultural shift in expectations of what it means to be a good parent. There is often pressure to be perfect and to be able to manage both career, family life and personal development. This can lead to stress and exhaustion. As parents today, you have access to an enormous amount of information about child rearing, which can be both a blessing and a curse. It can be difficult to distinguish between good advice and the not-so-good advice. As a parent, you can therefore feel overwhelmed by conflicting information, become frustrated as to why the advice doesn't work on your own child and ultimately become insecure about the parental role. With this website, I will therefore create a unified knowledge portal for you parents, which should make life with a nursery child more secure.
